Ben Neibaur

Dr. Ben's experience with orthodontic work is extensive, and it's also in his blood! His fifth great-grandpa, Alexander Neibaur, was the first dentist in Utah. He settled in Salt Lake City and began helping those in the community to perfect their smiles. He was even responsible for the famous wooden dentures worn by Brigham Young.

Dentistry and orthodontics have come a long way in the past five generations! Now, Dr. Ben uses the most advanced technologies to make your orthodontic work faster and more comfortable than ever. Dr. Ben earned his Bachelor's in Bio-Statistics from Brigham Young University and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Case Western Reserve University. He undertook his Orthodontic Residency at Vanderbilt University.

A specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, Dr. Ben was honored with an appointment as Chief Resident at Vanderbilt University. He helped oversee all treatment planning and diagnosis for his fellow residents and their patients. Dr. Ben regularly pursues continuing education, including participation in orthodontic study groups with leading orthodontists across the nation, where they discuss treatment plans and orthodontic complexities.

Dr. Ben is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontics. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Holly, and their seven boys. They enjoy the great outdoors, traveling, and chasing their boys to all their sporting events. Dr. Ben and Holly are passionate about education and enjoy supporting students and being active in their local school communities.

Steven Prince

Dr. Steven Prince grew up in Arizona and attended BYU for his undergraduate training. While in Utah he learned to love the mountains and snowboarding. After graduating from BYU he returned to Arizona for dental school.

Education

While in dental school, Dr. Prince opted for a dual major route and received his D.M.D. and completed a Master of Public Health degree from A.T. Still University. Subsequently, he completed his orthodontic training at A.T. Still University and earned a Doctorate in Health Education (DHEd). While in dental school he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, which is the dental scholastic honor society.

Board Certification

Upon completion of his orthodontic training, Dr. Prince went through the rigorous process of becoming a board-certified orthodontist. This certification process required hundreds of hours of preparation to demonstrate that he can provide the highest level of care for his patients and is an honor bestowed to only 40% of practicing orthodontists.

Journey to Herriman

After practicing for 8 years in Arizona, he was excited to return to Utah and join Salt City Orthodontics. Dr. Prince loves orthodontics because he has witnessed how improving a smile can dramatically increase the self-confidence of his patients. He believes that the best part of orthodontics is getting to know his patients and their families during their treatment. He loves to attend continuing education courses to keep up with the most current techniques.

Outside the Office

When Dr. Prince is not in the clinic, he is spending time with his wife, Anne, and their three great kids: Kelsey, Brinley, and Garrett. The kids were born and raised in Arizona so they have enjoyed getting to play in the snow and learning how to ski! The Prince family also loves to play sports, hike, go to the lake, and ride bikes.

Lauren Echols

Lauren brings 14 years of experience in the orthodontics industry to Salt City Orthodontics. She started her career at the front desk and quickly mastered orthodontic billing, becoming an expert in the field. Known for her infectious enthusiasm and bubbly personality, Lauren is thrilled to be part of Salt City Orthodontics, especially since it’s located in her hometown of Herriman. 

Outside of work, Lauren loves spending quality time with her husband and their two children. She’s a dedicated dance mom, supporting her daughter’s high school drill team, and on weekends, you’ll often find her cheering on her kids at various sports events.
